Ratings Central is an international table tennis rating system that tracks player performance based on match results. It helps ensure fair, consistent rankings by using a statistical model that updates ratings after each event — giving players, organisers, and federations an accurate picture of skill over time.

Ratings Central Coordinator (Australia)
My role is to support tournament organisers in using the Ratings Central system accurately and consistently so that player ratings across the country stay fair and reliable.
Think of me as your first point of contact if you’re running a sanctioned event and something in the system doesn’t look quite right i.e., maybe a duplicate player profile, an odd rating, or a question about how to upload results. I’m here to help troubleshoot those issues and guide you through any fixes, so everything stays on track.
Most of the time, everything runs smoothly. But when things do need adjusting, I work with Event Directors, States & Territory Associations, and Table Tennis Australia to make sure any changes are made quickly, transparently, and with minimal fuss. If something urgent comes up — say, before rankings are finalised — I can step in to help get things sorted.
My goal is to keep the system consistent, support you in running great events, and make sure the ratings reflect what’s happening on the court, not just what’s entered on the spreadsheet.

RCPennant Submitter (RCPS)
Developed by Gerard McCarthy, RCPS is the premier table tennis pennant/fixture software that exists to date. I use this software to run my teams events (view in Tournaments!).
- Enter scores for submission to Ratings Central, manually (similar to Cantor), from importing text files, importing RevSport csv exports.
- Create Pennant fixtures, ladders and match score entry with submission of results to Ratings Central and posting to a WordPress site as well as production of Table allocation sheets and score sheet printouts.
- Interact with RCPennantScorer via dropbox (or manual pasting from email) to collect match data entered by other scorers.
- One click updating of Latest scores to a WordPress Website.
While it has many features, it can be a bit overwhelming to understand. Hence, I have created many videos on how to use it.
